March Madness

 

Here are the ratings and odds for the NCAA basketball tournament, also known as March Madness.  These will be updated throughout the tournament.  

 

Key

Seed- the seed in the NCAA tournament

Rating- Rating- a power rating designed to predict future performance, which is based on the final score of games played and strength of schedule. The difference between two team's ratings is an approximate point spread. An average Division-1 team has a rating of 50.

R64- The percent chance that the team reaches the first round (round of 64)

R32- The percent chance that the team reaches the second round (round of 32)

S16- The percent chance that the team reaches the Sweet Sixteen

EL8- The percent chance that the team reaches the Elite Eight

FN4- The percent chance that the team reaches the Final Four

FINAL- The percent chance that the team reaches the Championship game

CHAMP- The percent chance that the team wins the NCAA tournament
