College Basketball

These are the ratings for Division 1 college basketball teams.  Only games between two D-1 teams are counted.  

Key

Rating- a power rating designed to predict future performance, which is based on the final score of games played and strength of schedule.  The difference between two team's ratings is an approximate point spread.  An average Division-1 team has a rating of 50.  Home court advantage is approximately 3.5 points.  

AP Rank- the team's ranking in the AP Poll.  Rankings greater than 25 indicates a team is in the "receiving votes" category.  #N/A means they did not receive any votes.  

totW- total wins 

totL- total losses

confW- conference wins

confL- conference losses

pSOS- the strength of schedule for games that have already been played

Poll Index- a simple metric designed to mimic human polls.  The poll index ranking is shown.
